As the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to unfold, its repercussions are being felt far beyond the battlefield, disrupting energy markets, fueling inflation, and deepening economic uncertainty across the globe. At a time when the costs of escalation continue to mount, the crisis underscores the urgent need for diplomacy to prevent further instability and promote regional and global peace.
Currently the world is faced with plethora of daunting challenges but one of the most excruciating challenges, amid the ongoing US- Israel and Iran war, is the acclivity of fuel prices which have consequently soared up to the inconceivable levels across the globe enormously impacting the economies of the world while breaking the backs of the proletariat class and the downtrodden.
Since Feb 28 this year ,the entire world has been reeling in perpetuating turmoil regarding an ongoing military conflict waged by the US and Israel against Iran which has proved a strangulating hold not only for the US and Israel but also for the rest of the world squeezing the world markets and dismantling the global stock markets due to drastic disruptions in oil and gas supplies.
Back breaking inflation has invaded all the countries which are at the tenterhook and the incumbent governments have to manage their economies paying through their nose. It is also obvious that this existing fuel crisis has unprecedented impacts on the countries world over triggering a detrimental surge of inflation and stagflation all over the globe.
It is pertinent to mention here that the US President Donald Trump has expressed concern owing to destructive retaliation emanated from Iran at a large scale which has posed significant challenges to both Israeli and American forces who have been complacent for their invincibility but the Iranian retaliatory response has altered the dynamics of the conflict.
Despite extensive military operations, Iranian forces have continued to demonstrate resilience to the coercive and unprovocative attacks launched by the American and Israeli forces against Iran.
After lapsing one month despite the lofty claims made by the US president pertaining to victory in Iran war during various interviews and press conferences, the ground realities belie him as the strategic objectives of the conflict remain subject to debate.
Different interpretations of the conflict have emerged in international media, reflecting the complexity and evolving nature of developments on the ground as threats and theatrics have engulfed the entire war game which is beyond any contemplation and seriousness.
Presently the entire globe is reclining on a powder keg which may explode anytime and the horrendous crisis may spiral out of hands owing to miscalculations by political leaders.
Wars are always fought to eliminate the potential threat to the sovereignty and security of a nation but this war waged by the parties involved have no clear aim and objective to achieve through this ongoing war.
The evolving developments in the Middle East continue to present significant challenges for policymakers, while Iranian resilience has posed additional challenges for military planners in achieving their stated objectives.
It appears that neither the US leadership nor CENTCOM may have fully anticipated the broader consequences of their military intervention against Iran, which has further complicated the regional security environment.
Under the mounting indigenous pressure ,the US president has started issuing strong warnings and statements with dire consequences to Tehran which is a clear indicative of his recalcitrant approach towards this existing crisis which has been initiated and spurred due to policy disagreements and strategic calculations.
In the ongoing conflict, there is a fear that any ground attack may result in a setback to the diplomatic process that is seeking a ceasefire and lasting peace in the area. Such an act is impractical and unwise and would be likely to damage the good faith that Pakistan and its fraternal neighbors – Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Egypt – are making in promoting a mutually agreeable road map to bring the conflict to an end and, thereby, create viable peace in the region.
History is evident that all the conflicts have been eventually resolved through engaging in peaceful dialogues and adroit craft of diplomacy instead of resorting to weapons and arms.
Keeping the horrendous developments on mind, it is prerequisite for the US administration and the Iran regime to explicate the way forward to bring back peace and prosperity in the region hinging upon the cessation of hostilities against each other because reclining on powder keg might propel the stability and peace of the planet to such an enormous crucible which may lead us to the brink of extinction and annihilation.
